The Raymond Williams Society annually part-funds a small number of conferences, seminars or other events that support the Society’s aims of developing intellectual and political projects in areas broadly connected with Raymond Williams’s work.
Applications for 2016 should be sent in an email to the Secretary at email@example.com by 15 October 2015. Late applications may be considered if funds remain.
The proposal should be 300-500 words and explicitly state the relevance of the event to the aims of the Society. It should also include provisional dates, location, participants, prospective audience and a budget for the event. Applications may be made for up to £400, though most often smaller sums are allocated. Please also include full contact details of the organiser(s) and, if relevant, institutional affiliation(s).
Funds are paid out retrospectively on receipt of a short report.
